Artist Statement

I feel fortunate to be an artist with an inner dialogue who can draw. The thoughts that generate paintings include emotional responses to world events, to technology, to artwork I see, to personal experiences, to people I meet, to friends, to trees, to science, to the weather, to my partner. The subject matter is always an individual.

I make art from a personal and emotional place. Some call me a colorist. Possibly.
